Thank you to these families, who invited me to be part of their baby’s birth and then took the time to write these lovely notes!

When my husband and I decided to work with Katie, we were excited to have extra support during labor and delivery.  After all, it was our first baby and we had no idea what to expect.  I knew I would need moral support and Katie is such a kind and gentle soul.  She is a mother and had experienced “the incredible unknown” – bringing a child into this world.  At the very least, she would intuitively know how to soothe and comfort us in the hospital.

I had no idea to what extent she would actually do just that!  Seeing Katie’s face provided instant comfort to me the moment I saw her.  She was pregnant with her second child at the time, but you would never know it.  She was tireless!  My labor and delivery was an amazing experience because of her.  Even though I had great nurses, my husband and my mother in the room, none helped more than Katie.  She provided moral support and intuited what I needed during moments of fear and discomfort.  She kept an eye on the medical team without interfering and kept me updated when they did not.

Perhaps the strongest support came during my long stretch of pushing.  Katie reassured me that all would be well, helped me count and breathe and listened to my cues.  My beautiful baby girl was born perfect and healthy!  Katie captured some amazing moments on film for us.  Again, she intuitively knew those moments were precious.  I will always be grateful to her for everything she did!

I am now expecting my second child, and although the idea of labor and delivery is not as daunting, I cannot imagine my labor room without her.  I give her the highest recommendation possible!  She is professional, knowledgeable, caring, comforting and intuitive.
