Glow.

Birth. A moment, a breath, a feeling, a transformation.

When a child is born, a family is born as well. Whether this is your first baby or your next, congratulations! You are on a journey unparalleled by any other in the world. From the moment you discover you are expecting to your baby’s first sweet breath, this season of your life is meant to be cherished and celebrated.

Pregnancy is all about the glow. Your belly rounds. Life blooms.

This is a time to think about what you want for your pregnancy and birth, of how you envision those first sweet moments of life. Born Doula Services will be there with you throughout your pregnancy, labor, and birth, and in the hours after. Clients benefit from continuous support provided by a caring and compassionate doula. Services provided throughout your pregnancy can be tailored to meet your family’s needs in most cases, and typically include:

Getting to Know You Meet-Up: One of the most important elements of a successful birth team is a sense of trust and support. It is important for parents-to-be to get a chance to meet face to face with a doula prior to hiring her, and get a feel for ‘fit’. I like to schedule these meetings at a comfortable location for you, such as your home, a park, or a coffee shop. This Meet-Up is a chance for you to ask me questions and for us to get to know each other so we can decide if I am the right doula for you. Meet-Ups are always free of charge and usually last 30 – 60 minutes.

Pregnancy Visits: I prefer to meet with parents-to-be at least two times prior to your due date. These visits typically take place in your home, and allow us the opportunity to discuss your birth plans and wishes, as well as to address any questions you have.
